The Syrian Arab Army’s Special Forces are rolling through the strategic city of Darayya in the West Ghouta region, capturing several buildings and street blocks from the extremist rebels of Ajnad Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) inside the Darayya Association Quarter.

On Wednesday morning, the Syrian Army’s Special Forces continued their successful military operation in the Darayya Association Quarter, capturing 18 more buildings from Ajnad Al-Sham in the Bilal Al-Hobshi Mosque Neighborhood after a violent battle that spread into the twilight hours.

According to a military source inside of Darayya, the Syrian Armed Forces have captured just over 40 buildings from the extremist rebels inside the city, while also killing a large number of these fighters from Ajnad Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Nusra.

Among the extremist rebels killed in Darayya; these 4 militants were identified by the Syrian Armed Forces: Mudhaher Abu ‘Adel, Hani Abu ‘Alaa, Yahya Abu Ra’ed, and “Abu Isma’eel”.

Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) led the charge in Darayya, striking several enemy positions in the Association Quarter while also targeting the rebel defenses in the nearby city of Al-Mo’adhimiyah.

Following the airstrikes, the Syrian Armed Forces launched another ground assault near the Bilal Al-Hobshi Mosque in order to clear the remaining buildings under rebel control.
