Aleppo, Syria (4:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Armed Forces continued their large-scale advance in southern Aleppo on Saturday, capturing several sites from the jihadist rebels at the Al-‘Amariyah District.

Led by the Tiger Forces and Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), the Syrian Armed Forces managed to expand on their earlier gains by capturing three more building blocks inside of Al-‘Amariyah, killing a large number of jihadists in the process.

Following the seizure of these building blocks, the Syrian Armed Forces turned their attention to Jaysh A;-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) last line of defense near the district-center; this is currently the scene of an intense battle.

Despite the announcement of the ceasefire, the Syrian Armed Forces are going to press the jihadist rebels up until the date the agreement is implemented.

However, even after the implementation of this ceasefire, the Syrian Armed Forces will continue their operations against the jihadist rebels, per the agreement.

At first I was like ‘what’s the f*****g point if they flee from Castello and let the rebels reaffirm their strength in the city? Then I read the last line. Which is still not great considering the above, but at least progress will continue I guess! Keep pushing through Aleppo, once that’s taken, how many thousands of troops will be freed up? Idlib will follow afterwards.
