ALEPPO, SYRIA (4:45 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies are rolling through the northeastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, capturing several sites from the Islamist rebels of Fatah Halab.
Approximately one hour ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard and Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) established full control over the sawmill and quarries east of the Al-‘Oweija District.
Following the capture of the aforementioned sites, the Syrian Armed Forces infiltrated Fatah Halab’s defenses at Al-Aradh Al-Hamra, seizing most of this district after an intense battle today.
With their recent advances in northeast Aleppo, the Syrian Armed Forces are now on the fringes of the strategic Hanano Youth Housing Comlex; if this site is captured, the Islamist rebels will lose one of their most important bases in the area.
