On Friday morning, the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) “Southern Front Brigades” – in coordination with the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” – attempted to breach the Syrian Arab Army’s frontline defenses at the town of Al-Hamriyah; however, upon approaching this town under the control of the Syrian Armed Forces, the rebel contingents were ambushed by the aforementioned.
Following the Southern Front’s failed infiltration attempt into Al-Hamriyah, the Syrian resistance contingents from Fouj Al-Joulan (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) attacked the strategic hill at Tal Qaba’a Al-Hanriyah, capturing this area after fierce clashes with Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Southern Front Brigades.
The following day, firefights were reported between the Syrian Armed Forces and the FSA’s Southern Front Brigades in the northeastern countryside of Al-Quneitra Governorate.
According to a military source in the Golan Heights, the Syrian Armed Forces targeted the rebel contingents at the towns of Jabatha Al-Khashab, Tarnijah, Al-Hamidiyah, Al-Samandiyah Al-Sharqiyah, and Al-Ajraf, resulting in the death of over three dozen enemy combatants and the destruction of five armored vehicles that were mounted with 23mm anti-aircraft machine guns.
Elsewhere, the Syrian Armed Forces and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” clashed at the town of Al-Mosahra, where the latter conceded control of Tal SyriaTel to the Syrian Army after almost three hours of fighting.
