The Syrian Arab Army’s Special Forces have regained the military initiative in the Greater Damascus area after nearly a month of inactivity inside both the West Ghouta and East Ghouta.
On Tuesday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade and 416th Regiment of the Republican Guard northeast of the Marj Al-Sultan Military Airport, seizing several farms from Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) at the village of Al-Nishabiyah in the East Ghouta region.
According to a military source in the East Ghouta, the Syrian Armed Forces have captured 60 percent of Al-Nishabiyah and half of Tal Al-Farzat in the East Ghouta.
The source further added that the Syrian Armed Forces killed 17 enemy combatants from Jaysh Al-Islam and Jabhat Al-Nusra during their military operations in the East Ghouta on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, southwest of the Syrian capital, the Syrian Arab Army’s Special Forces captured as many as 20 buildings in the Bilal Al-Hobshi and Arab neighborhoods of the Darayya Association Quarter on Tuesday, killing a dozen enemy combatants in the process of their advance inside this strategic city in the West Ghouta.
In addition to advancing at Darayya, the Syrian Armed Forces also continued military operations inside the imperative city of Mo’adhimiyah, where they cleared more buildings that were used by Ajnad Al-Sham’s snipers.
