BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Syria Arab Army (SAA) continued their field operations in the eastern districts of Damascus on Tuesday, targeting the jihadist positions inside Al-Qaboun and Jobar.

Led by their 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division and 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture a rebel prison inside the Al-Qaboun District after a fierce battle with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

According to the military command, the capture of this rebel prison resulted in the freeing of up to 34 prisoners, mostly soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army that were apprehended years ago.

Th capture of this rebel prison in Al-Qaboun comes just one week after the Syrian Arab Army seized Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s largest supply tunnel that stretches from this district to the East Ghouta town of ‘Irbeen.
