HAMA, SYRIA (3:35 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their large-scale counter-offensive in the northern Hama countryside on Monday, targeting the jihadist-held territory west of Ma’an.

Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture two points at the western outskirts of Ma’an after a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-‘Izza, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and Jaysh Al-Nasr.

According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent, the Syrian Armed Forces captured the Madajnah Checkpoint and another point outside of Ma’an village, killing several militants in the process.

In addition to their advance near Ma’an, the Syrian Armed Forces also stormed the checkpoints at the eastern outskirts of Souran; this resulted in an intense battle with the jihadist rebels that is still ongoing at the moment.
