Soldiers from the 3rd Armored Division cross an open field after the Islamist rebels fled building ahead.

Earlier this morning, a battlefield source inside the imperative city of Sheikh Miskeen in the Dara’a Governorate’s northern countryside  reported that the Syrian Arab Army’s 15th Brigade of the 5th Armored Division – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the SAA’s 7th Mechanized Division – captured an estimated 35 buildings that were situated to the south of the Battalion 82 Housing Facility.

According to the source, the Syrian Armed Forces have expanded their control over Sheikh Miskeen from 70 percent to approximately 80% of the entire city after the clashes with Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades.”

Currently, firefights are still ongoing between the Syrian Armed Forces and the Islamist rebels in Sheikh Miskeen; however, it is the pro-government forces that are presently on the offensive after spending all of last week on the defensive.
