BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:25 A.M.) – The media adviser of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), Rizan Haddou, told Al-Mayadeen TV on Friday that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) can be present in any part of the Afrin region.

Haddou told the Lebanese channel that the YPG applauded the Syrian Army for downing the Israeli F-16 last week and added that he hopes they shoot down a Turkish warplane too.

The YPG media adviser stated that Afrin is Syrian land and part of Syria, so the SAA is welcome to enter this region at any juncture.

Below is the video from the Al-Mayadeen interview:

This latest claim by Haddou comes just 24 hours after reports surfaced of the Syrian Army preparing to enter the Afrin region.

Good step. In a real federation the central government can do that.
But for the same reason: Kurdish forces must then apply the same rule in Deir ez-Zor. And then this “reconcilement agreement” would be something that Damascus could accept too.

p.s. Which also proves: The US bombing of SAA and allied forces in Deir ez-Zor on behalf of YPG was totally illegal. By definition the forces of the federal – central government can be no threat to the militia and police forces of its suzerain entities.

I don’t think YPG has anything to do with the US bombing in Deir-Ezzor, actually, it’s probably more an action to try to ruin some agreement about Afrin with central Syrian govt, it’d make way more sense this way
