BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has scored a new advance in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, capturing several buildings in ‘Ayn Tarma after a fierce battle with Faylaq Al-Rahman.
Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to break-through the enemy’s front-lines north of the Sonbol Station and seize several buildings in the process.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army killed more than five militants during the advance, while also destroying a Faylaq Al-Rahman trench.
The source added that the Syrian Arab Army is attempting to besiege the militants in ‘Ayn Tarma by cutting off their imperative supply line that links this suburb with Jobar.
