BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate, today, targeting the Islamic State’s (ISIL) large pocket near the Idlib axis.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army stormed three towns in northeastern Hama, inflicting heavy damage on the Islamic State’s defenses.
Following an intense battle with the Islamic State, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture the towns of Abu Al-Khayr, Ma’rasan, and Buyoud Sifaf in northeastern Hama.
As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army has liberated a half dozen towns in the last 48 hours from the Islamic State.
The Syrian Arab Army has recently shifted their attention to the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate after a successful campaign to take hold of the Abu Dhuhour Airport.
