ALEPPO, SYRIA (12:15 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), backed Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), began a new military operation in the northern sector of Aleppo, targeting the jihadist-controlled Suleiman Al-Halabi District.

According to an Al-Masdar News correspondent in Aleppo city, the Republican Guard and their allies launched the attack on Suleiman Al-Halabi from their positions at the nearby district of Al-Midan, which is located at the western axis of the former.

Suleiman Al-Halabi is not a large district in east Aleppo; however, its proximity to the jihadist stronghold of Sakhour, makes it an imperative military endeavor for the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command.

Intense clashes are currently ongoing at the moment, as the Syrian Armed Forces attempt to capitalize on the crumbling jihadist defenses in east Aleppo.
