BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched an important operation on Sunday to halt the advance of the Jordanian-backed rebel forces in the Damascus countryside.

Led by their 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army kicked-off the powerful assault from their positions at the Al-Seen Airbase in east Damascus, striking the Jordanian-backed rebels of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the Biyar Al-Saba area.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Legion managed to capture the entire Biyar Al-Saba area, forcing the Jordanian-backed rebels to retreat to the desert region of the province.

Today’s operation was launched as a precautionary attack to deter any possible intervention from U.S. and Jordanian troops in the Damascus countryside, a military source told Al-Masdar News today.

yes thats the response SAA should give to this US backed thugs dont give them finger otherwise this FSA will try to remove your hand from body means will divide syria . they should target them also all the way to the border crossing till tanaf so this US propaganda machine will not try to send US foot in syria from south. US plan is still on to divide syria systematically. SAA should be carefull and dislodge this plan

Very important task! These “rebels” down there are just another batch of Saudi-indoctrinated and US-payed Sunni terrorists. They’re no better than ISIS. Indeed, they’re worse because they haven’t yet made themselves enemies of mankind in the way that ISIS have. Their objection is the same, namely to turn Syria into a Wahhabi cut-throat state.
