BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:20 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has begun the second phase of their northwestern Syria offensive after taking a month-long hiatus between mid-June and mid-July.
Led by the Tiger Forces and 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army began their offensive last night by launching a massive attack via their air force.
The Russian Air Force was also involved in the attack, bombing several sites inside the Al-Ghaab Plain region of both Idlib and Hama.
Following the airstrikes, the Tiger Forces and their allies began hammering the southern flank of Al-Sirmaniyeh with a plethora of missiles and artillery shells.
No advances have been reported at this time, but the majority of the night was just airstrikes and heavy artillery.
Below is a video showing the heavy bombardment of the Jisr Al-Shughour area.
