BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently involved in a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels north of Khan Touman, as the government forces attempt to capture this strategic town along the Aleppo-Idlib Highway (M-5).

According to a military source in Aleppo city, the Syrian Arab Army, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), is attempting to capture Khan Touman after they secured the hills northeast of this town.

The source said the Syrian Army hasn’t achieved much success around Khan Touman this evening, but they are still engaged in heavy clashes with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).

As shown in the footage captured on Sunday evening, the Syrian Arab Army does carry out attacks overnight and they will likely remain busy this night.
