The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Fatah Halab militants agreed on Thursday to allow civilians still living in the eastern district of Aleppo to travel to a non-combat zone inside the province.
According to Aleppo-based field correspondent, Kinana Alloush, the Syrian Arab Army will provide a safe passage from the Bustan Al-Basha District for civilians still living in the rebel areas.
In addition to this agreement, the Syrian Armed Forces and Islamist rebels are negotiating a deal that would allow a safe passage to the Bustan Al-Basha District for the remaining Fatah Halab militants trapped inside Bani Za’id.
Currently, the Syrian Armed Forces control 50% of the Bani Za’id District; however, the remaining 50% has been mostly abandoned by Fatah Halab.
The Syrian Arab Army’s engineering units are combing through several neighborhoods in the Bani Za’id District, as they search for hidden IEDs and mines placed by the Islamist rebels.
