The Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division, backed by the Republican Guard, Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) and National Defense Forces (NDF), continued their offensive in the northern sector of Aleppo City on Saturday, seizing several sites from the jihadist rebels inside the Al-Layramoun District.

According to Al-Masdar field correspondent, the 4th Mechanized Division and their allies seized several factories and buildings inside the Al-Layramoun District, including the Colonez 4 and Colonez 5 sites near the imperative roundabout.

This latest advance in the northern sector of Aleppo City comes just 72 hours after the Syrian Arab Army captured much of the Industrial Area between the Al-Layramoun and Al-Khalidiyah districts.

Al-Layramoun is strategically situated between the Al-Zahra Quarter and Al-Khalidiyah District; if captured, the Syrian Armed Forces will not only have secured the aforementioned areas, but they would also be within striking distance of Kafr Hamra.

The Russian Air Force played an imperative role in this advance today, as they repeatedly struck Fatah Halab’s positions in the Al-Layramoun District this morning.
