The Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division, backed by the Republican Guard and National Defense Forces (NDF), continued their large-scale offensive inside Aleppo City’s northern sector, seizing new factories in the Al-Layramoun Industrial Area.

A senior officer from the 4th Division told Al-Masdar News on Saturday morning that the Syrian Armed Forces captured the large Textile Factory and its corresponding buildings in the Al-Layramoun District after a violent battle with the jihadist rebels of Fatah Halab this morning.

With the capture of the Textile Factory today, the Syrian Armed Forces have expanded on their buffer-zone between the Al-Layramoun and Al-Khalidiyah districts of Aleppo City, leaving the remaining jihadist rebels with their backs against the wall near the Al-Zahra’a Association Quarter.

The recent advances made by the Syrian Armed Forces come just 48 hours after a failed offensive by Fatah Halab in the Old Aleppo District.

What happened with the south Aleppo offensive of the Jihadis? Are they having manpower problems or is this wishful thinking?

Watch out for growing piles of earth as they dig tunnels-on empty stomachs. No doubt the takfirist will control any food in surrounded residual suburbs though. Wont so any people be glad to get their homes back when the invaders have been got rid of.

Minor nit with the details – The 4th Mechanized Division is Republican Guard. You indicated they were backed up by Republican Guard, when you probably meant “Republican Guard Troops” as opposed to Popular Groups from Iraq, who they have usually worked with in the past.
