Aleppo, Syria (6:53 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) supported by the Quds Brigade (Palestinian paramilitary) managed to secure an important advance on the Bai’ibdeen Square and Inzarat district axes in the northern sector of the rebel-held districts of east Aleppo.

A field source informed Al-Masdar’s correspondent that the army was able to capture several parts in the direction of the square placing the area under fire control after hours of battles, artillery shelling, and missile bombardment.

During the clashes, the prominent commander of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah’s (Levant Front)Inzarat district sector was killed along with a number of militants in addition to the destruction of several cars and the looting of a large load of weapons and ammunition from the insurgents’ control.

Battles continue in that region as the Syrian Army aims to establish a foothold in Inzarat and Ba’ibdeen districts as a prelude to a long-anticipated assault on jihadist-controlled east Aleppo.
