DAMASCUS, SYRIA (10:15 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) took full advantage of its air power over Daraa on Saturday, scoring minor gains in the southern sector of the city.
Targeting insurgent positions in the embattled Al-Manshiyah district, the SAA’s 5th Division of the Republican Guard – supported Hezbollah and the 15th Division special forces – captured a handful of buildings amid intense urban clashes with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) and Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions.
Meanwhile, Russian airstrikes continue to pound the provincial capital of Daraa by the hour, thereby preventing Islamist forces from mobilizing or move around in broad daylight.

According to a source close to Al-Masdar News, one sortie conducted by the Russian Air Force neutralized a total of 12 HTS militants in the neighboring Deraa Al-Balad district.
Following other SAA operations across the Daraa governorate, an estimated 40 rebel fighters have been killed by government forces on Saturday alone.
