BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was finally able to crack the Islamic State’s (ISIS) lines at the Al-Safa Mountain, today, after a fierce three hour long battle.
Led by their 1st, 3rd, and 10th divisions, the Syrian Arab Army restarted their operations at the Al-Safa Mountain after rejecting the Islamic State’s terms of surrender last night.
According to a military source in Sweida, the Syrian Arab Army broke through the Islamic State’s defenses at the Khirbat Hawi area, which is located at the southwestern axis of the Al-Safa Mountain.
This latest advance by the Syrian Arab Army comes after a fierce exchange of missiles and artillery shells this past week.
The Syrian Arab Army told the Islamic State that they will not accept anything other than a complete surrender of this mountain and the release of the 30+ civilians that were kidnapped by their terrorists.
