The Syrian Armed Forces made a rare advance in the northeastern sector of Aleppo City on Monday, capturing several building blocks from the jihadist rebels in the Handarat Camp.

Led by Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) and the National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian Armed Forces stormed the eastern neighborhood of the Handarat Camp after launching a special mission to break into this strategic area.

A military source told Al-Masdar News on Monday night that the Syrian Armed Forces had indeed broken through the enemy defenses before fortifying their own positions at the eastern perimeter of Handarat Camp.

Prior to the advancement today, the Syrian Armed Forces had no presence inside the Handarat Camp, despite nearly surrounding it from two different flanks fo several months.
