BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:20 P.M.) – Syrian ambassador to the United Nations Dr. Bashar Al-Ja’afari addressed Damascus’ recent accusations of the U.S. Coalition’s use of white phosphorous in Deir Ezzor to the Security Council on Tuesday.
Dr. Ja’afari began his address by offering his condolences to Indonesia over the crash of the Lion Air flight 610.
The Syrian diplomat would then turn his attention to the U.S Coalition, who he accused of using white phosphorous in the Deir Ezzor Governorate town of Hajjin.
He accused the U.S. Coalition of killing several innocent civilians as a result of their attack with internationally banned weapons.
Dr. Ja’afari then commented on the situation in Aleppo, which he blamed on the Syrian opposition forces.
The Syrian diplomat said that the militants repeatedly struck Aleppo city, despite an ongoing ceasefire in the area.
