Rif Dimashq Governate – The Syrian Air Force carried out 27 airstrikes over the East Ghouta city of Jobar, killing scores of militants from Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam). The airstrikes targeted Jaysh Al-Islam positions in the eastern part of the city, as the Syrian Air Force utilized a barrage of bunker-buster bombs to obstruct the tunnels used by the militants. Jaysh Al-Islam suffered heavy casualities as a result of the airstrikes, with the majority of militants perishing near the athletic stadium. Other airstrikes were reportedly carried out by the Syrian Air Force near the 5th District in Jobar and outside of Al-Maleeha at Zebdeen.
Firefights broke-out between the SAA’s Republican Guard and Jaysh Al-Islam militants near the Tayba Mosque, south of the Jobar Industrial School. Jaysh Al-Islam was able to hold off the Republican Guard from breaking through their frontline defense near the Tayba Mosque; this resulted in the use of an SAA Mechanized Division to lead the assault. The tanks assaulted the militants position south of the Mosque; however, fierce clashes delayed the advancement as casualities for both sides started to mount.
At least 30 Jaysh Al-Sham fighters were killed today during the fierce clashes with the Republican Guard in Jobar. Among the dead Jaysh Al-Islam fighters were:

- Darwish Majid Khareeta
- Ahmad Al-Maghrabi (Moroccan)
