BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:40 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) has unleashed a large number of airstrikes over the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate this morning.
According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Air Force has specifically targeted several towns inside the demilitarized zone.
Among the Syrian Air Force targets in the southern countryside of Idlib were the towns of Kafr Sajnah, Kafr Auwayd, Tramla, Kafr Nabl, and Al-Naqeer, the source added.
This attack comes as the Syrian Arab Army prepares to launch a new assault to advance deeper into the demilitarized zone region between the Hama and Idlib governorates.
Since capturing Kafr Naboudeh over the weekend, the Syrian Arab Army has redeployed several units to the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
These reinforcements will take part in the next Syrian Army operation to capture the town of Al-Hobeit and the nearby hilltop of Tal Sakher.
