The Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) carried out a lethal series of airstrikes above the east Damascus countryside on Friday afternoon, targeting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) across the vast desert landscape that leads into the Homs Governorate.
Among the many targets for the Syrian Air Force on Friday was the ISIL headquarters inside the hilltop village of Tal Dakwah; this would be destroyed during its bombardment.
The Syrian Air Force has also provided much needed air cover to the soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army that are combating the ISIL terrorists that are attempting to capture the strategic Dumayr Airbase.
