BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – At approximately 9:55 P.M. (local time), the Syrian air defenses were activated in central Syria after several hostile missiles targeted a number of sites in this desert region.
According to a military source, the missiles targeted Tal Al-Sahen in Al-Sweida and Kabajab in Deir Ezzor.
The source saiid the Syrian air defenses managed to intercept several of the missiles, with some of the projectiles managing to hit their targets.
He would add that the missiles were fired from the Al-Sukhnah region of Homs, but did not specify if they were fired.
As of now, there has been no confirmation that tonight’s missile strikes were conducted by a foreign entity; however, some activists have accused the Israeli Air Force.
The Israeli Air Force has targeted the Syrian military’s positions in eastern Syria before, with the most recent attack at the T-4 Airbase in this region of the country.
