BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 A.M.) – The Syrian air defenses were activated earlier this morning after a number of missiles targeted the southwestern countryside of Damascus, a source from the military told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, the Syrian air defenses were able to intercept several of the projectiles, but some managed to hit their targets.
The source added that the missiles were fired from the occupied Golan Heights region, which indicates it was the Israeli military behind this morning’s attack.
This attack comes just hours after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that two projectiles were fired towards the occupied Golan Heights from Syria.
Below is a short video from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA); it shows the Syrian military intercepting projectiles above southwestern Damascus.
