BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Air Defense confronted a fresh Israeli attack on the T-4 Airbase, tonight, an official source from the military told Al-Masdar News.
According to the military source, the Syrian Air Defense fired several missiles towards the Israeli rockets in an attempt to thwart their attack on the strategic T-4 Airbase.
However, despite the short confrontation, the Israeli warplane successfully hit a number of targets at the T-4 Airbase, causing material damage to this installation in the eastern countryside of Homs.
As shown in the footage below, the Syrian Air Defense attempted to thwart the attack by firing their missiles towards the Israeli rockets:
The Syrian Air Defense was able to down some of the Israeli rockets above the T-4 Airbase during the brief confrontation on Sunday evening.
Israel has yet to comment on this latest attack, despite accusations from the Syrian military government.
Israeli warplanes previously targeted the T-4 Airbase in April of this year, killing at least seven Iranian military personnel and seven Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers.
One month after that attack, Syrian Army and Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) traded missile attacks along the border of the occupied Golan Heights, prompting the latter to launch their largest air attack on Syria since 1973.
