BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – The Syrian government has officially invited the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to the East Ghouta town of Douma in order to investigate the reported chemical weapons, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) stated on Tuesday.

“Syria is keen on co-operating with the OPCW to uncover the truth behind the allegations that some western sides have been advertising to justify their aggressive intentions,” SANA reported, citing an official from the Syrian Foreign Ministry.

The Syrian government has denied all allegations that their forces used chemical weapons in the strategic town of Douma, despite accusations from opposition groups.

In response to these accusations of chemical weapons use in Douma, the Trump administration has warned that they will use force against the Syrian government.

The very latest report on al-masdar site says the OPCW have agreed to come out and investigate any alleged chemical use in Douma.

Yet Jahfaari, at the UN, called out that last investigation took OPWC 4 months and half to be enacted… what kind of evidences did they hope to gather 160 day after the fact?
OPWC just said it would go “shortly”, not WHEN. They just have to go after Trump’s 24-48h term and it’ll be after the fact again (after US bombing, that is).
