More than 30 ISIS militants were killled in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzour today, after the Russian Air Force (RUAF) and Syrian Arab Air Force (SYAAF) carried out airstrikes.

Specifically, the airstrikes hit Jabal Thardeh, using smart bombs to target an ISIS gathering.

The pro-opposition, Coventry-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has claimed that over 190 ISIS terrorists have been killed in Deir Ezzour over the past 14 days, in clashed with the Syrian Army, and local militiamen.

Fighting erupted between the Syrian Army and ISIS in Deir Ezzour a few weeks ago, after ISIS launched an offensive. ISIS controls the majority of the oil-rich province, with only a few areas in the provincial capital under the Syrian government’s control.

Why is there such little footage of the airstrikes? I would think showing this footage would be a good thing yet there is very little. It can show the world how effective the airstrikes are and maybe even demoralize ISIS. It would also help the Russian defense industry.

Rosoboronexport has not to complain : in the 9 first month of 2016, they registered ‘just’ for 56.8 bln$ in orders. France also registred serious orders too, from 2014 to 2015, sales doubled. Both are on par as 2nd arms exporter over the Brits now. They showed some nice footages of Tu-22M3 in order to advertse the SVP-24 targetting system that makes dumb bombs near as accurate as smart bombs (seems even more accurate than INS which replaces GPS when it’s jammed). Thus, if you really want a ood rendering of aerial action, well, you have to really do an… Read more »

The pro-opposition, Coventry-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights…
A journalist who actually listens to his readers, I do love this site.
Not just that, it deals with facts and when it has un-verifiable information it emphasises it has not been verified. Puts the MSM to shame.

Too bad MSM takes every his word at face value for a few years now. This coventry-based syrian (haven’t been in country of origin for over a decade) is usually the only source for liberal, western, fake-news hitpieces.

Errr, Mrfish, you’re ironic I suppose? Thus I didn’t really followed recently, some say he has became less biased since the liberation of Aleppo. I mostly remember gigantic bullshitting from him!

If they could get 100+ per day they would equal the attack of the U.S. bombers, flying in from Iraq, on the Syrian soldiers.

Actually, Russians do the double of airstrikes the coalition is doing.
Tu-22M can carry as much payload as a B-2
I doubt ISIL communicating their real losses and after a 250kg bombs falls on an area, there’s not a lot left to do an accurate body count from the air…

There should be worry that DZ front remains inactive now. There must be significant attempts to recover all that ground, just like there was a massive push to retake Artillery/Air force college base in south-western Aleppo.

Allowing the enemy to remain where they are may give them huge opportunities. They are too close to everything, and may soon an attack to end DZ as we know it.

SOG dont make me laugh they dropped a zero off how convenient to encourage reserves to push harder to get there from Mosul. If you follow daily multiple sources you would agree 1900 is about correct.
