BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:20 P.M.) – A powerful attack was carried out last night against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the Hama countryside that killed more than 30 soldiers.

The attack completely destroyed the Brigade 47 Base, causing a massive explosion that could be heard throughout much of the country.

According to a Syrian military source, the attack was carried out by the Israeli Air Force; however, the latter has yet to comment on the allegations.

The military source added that the attack was believed to have been carried out by an Israeli F-35 fighter jet, as the remnants of glide bombs were found at the site.

Syria (and Russia) should do a lot of explaining: what happened with their marvellous anti-missile systems? How come this came about as a surprize attack and was so successful?

A common problem for all Arabs. They are lazy for active air defense. It’s much easier to organize a static air defense – the same position for SAM systems and RADARS, the same frequency, the same tactics … and Israel use this.
You remember the First and Second War between Egypt and Israel using SA-6 against Israel. The first war was a complete success for the SA-6, and the second war was a complete fiasco only because they did not change absolutely nothing between first and second war.

Arabs are good at air defence I mean just look how many missiles did houthis shot at saudi and Saudi almost shot down every single one, all those missiles is given by Israel to houthis, so don’t say that again, it’s Israel who maybe should give houthis better missiles but yet again Saudi will unleash it’s rage on them and you all will cry to un and America as usual

They don’t have full AA cover over the whole Syria. They can protect just some strategically sensitive targets. Damascus and Aleppo are well protected, Hama is not. Besides, when you read of ‘no fly zone’ and such, don’t get confused: space denial doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to strike that zone, it’s just potentially risky and costly for those that fly through. Countries don’t risk 100mln$ planes and trained pilots unless it’s really worth the candle. Should – e.g. – USA decide to put 50 bombers at risk, they know that no AA system can stop *all* of them. They… Read more »

How come Syrian Army was 70% successful against the western trio, but completely a failure against zionist planes? Why Russia still thinking about providing a defense to Syria, why? are they allies of both sides????

this really pisses me off,,,how can this have happened? are they all asleep at the radar posts? and of course there will be no justice for the dead unless syria takes it in it’s own hands,,was there any material damage to vital military equipment or missiles?

in the future we will hear more about it

Pfff please, no evidence that the attack was carried out by an F-35. Those military sources are just trying to excuse the utter failure of being caught off guard by citing a stealth aircraft in ifa’s inventory. F-35 lacks so much combat readiness to the point the Pentagon is about to retire 200 of those already delivered for critical, non fixable issues.

We’re gonna hear about it for sure in the future, for its expensive scrapping process, lobbyist scandals and the failure of outperforming an a-10c in CAS roles next september.

Nope! F-35 is NOT combat ready and won’t be so for a while.
This is total BS!
It’s EZ to fly under the beam of land-radars then give a bell trajectory to a glidiing bomb, especially since these now can be equipped wth rocket boosters, so doing a strike from 70-90km is easy and pretty stealthy as you stay at low altitude except for a few seconds and you avoid low altitude detection areas.
You can even stick under an airliner so the radar echo of the fighter merges with the bigger airliner…

When and where do these countries want to find the courage and zeal to respond to the Zionist and Western acts of state terror, sabotage, and homicide by strikes in kind? You know damned well the Yankee and Zionist terror won’t stop on its own. Or do you think brave slogans and bravado will frighten the imperialists?!!

There are setbacks in any war. Hopefully this successful strike will have told Russians something about Israeli tactics, so that next time they will know how to respond. War is a learning process, let’s see if Russians are good at learning…

Russia knew in advance about this aggression because it was informed by the Zio-Nazis. As always Russia has given its green light to the Zionist tyranny as long as the missiles do not target Russian bases in Syria. Russia should be thrown out of Syria and Iran should take its place.

Yeah, fantastic idea : replace Sunni bigots by Shia bigots. Funny how Syria harboured prominent Nazi Aloïs Brünner for decades, you know, what the “Zio” wanted to hang just like Eichmann… I’m not even speaking about how many Nazis hid in Egypt under Nasser, and the close ties between the Muslim Brotherhood and even the PLO with the Nazis or escapee-Nazis : remember that Arafat inherited his “Fatah” from uncle Amin al-Husseini who was not only grand mufti of al-Aqsa, Muslim-Brotherhood leader but also Grüppenführer in the Waffen-SS. Arafat and Abbas were even trained to terrorist tactics by the infamous… Read more »

Both, the heirs of the OF-7 who schooled the SS imams… and the heirs of the Zionists do. They all disadvantage the other side in a fashion that is genocidal or openly clamour for a outright genocide. p.s. The Arabs merely knew that ex-Fascists get no fair trial. It has nothing to do with siding with them. Tongue out. The WW II Leclerc incident and other Lynch killings prove that the French were no choir-boys either. The treatment of the anti “resistance” part of the French population shares elements of the Fascist treatment of outsiders. La Grande Nation is blind… Read more »

Daeshbags Sux You are so clueless about Israel it’s disgusting, the simple fact that Israel has yet to comment on this story is very telling.

Whenever AMN News posts news stories criticizing the U.S. or Saudi Arabia, you don’t say anything, but when they post some news stories criticizing Israel, all of a sudden you have to cry foul?

You are a hypocrite and you completely ignore the fact that the Israeli government is corrupt and is also allied with Saudi Arabia.

Israel is exploiting the limited window of time , 39 days , up to the arrival of the S 300 from Russian stocks. Thereafter there would be no possibility to fire from more than 220 km afar .

I would think as long as the Iranians threaten to destroy Israel and have bases close to their borders they will be smacked down harshly. If my neighbor continually talks about destroying me and my family then I would hurt him before he has a chance to hurt me.

d**k Master I’m not a fan of the Iranian government by any stretch of the imagination whatsoever but is it any wonder why they always chant “death to America” and “death to Israel”? The United States and U.K. back in 1953 engineered a CIA coup in Iran code named “Operation Ajax” and the Prime Minister of Iran was overthrown by a much more oppressive shaw, and throughout his tenure the shaw had Iranians killed and tortured for daring to criticize him, is it any wonder why the Iranian government is so oppressive and hateful towards the U.S. and Israel now?… Read more »
