BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:35 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a surprise offensive in the Golan Heights, Saturday, targeting the area southwest of Hader.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched the offensive at 5 A.M. (Damascus Time) from their positions at Jubata Al-Khashab; they would attempt to sneak through the Syrian Army’s front-lines under the cover of darkness.

According to a Syrian military source, the army foiled the jihadist advance towards Al-Dalafeh and Qars Al-Nafal after spotting the HTS militants near Jubata Al-Khashab.

The source added that the Syrian Army killed two HTS militants before they decided to retreat back to Jubata Al-Khashab.
