In an effort to halt the Islamist momentum in Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has mobilized hundreds of armored vehicles to beef up the city’s defences.
However, Jaish al-Fateh and the Fatah Halab operations room still boast a highly effective fighting force, comprised of upwards of 10,000 rebel fighters.
Jaish al-Fatah has also developed its very own assault troops, comparable to the SAA’s Tiger Forces, although very few details are available about the unit.
These fighters all wear masks and are immediately withdrawn and replaced from the frontline once they capture a point, a military source tells Al-Masdar News.
