Today, the Islamic State launched another assault to seize Mare’ (Marea) from rebel forces in northern Aleppo – the attempt failed nevertheless.

During the battle, 30 ISIS fighters were killed and 17 rebel fighters likewise. Turkish artillery and U.S. coalition warplanes backed the rebels during the clashes.

Yesterday, the U.S. also airdropped weapons to rebels inside Mare’ after this city was isolated and cut off from Azaz due to a major ISIS offensive.
