The Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – in coordination with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) – took advantage of the collapsing rebel defenses in southern Damascus, capturing the strategic Da’aboul Street in the Al-Tadamon District near Yarmouk Camp.

With a number of rebel fighters surrendering or defecting to the National Defense Forces (NDF) in southern Damascus, the PLA and PFLP-GC have capitalized on this in the Yarmouk Camp District, as they have expanded their control over a number of building blocks near Deir Yasseen and Palestine Street.

In Al-Zabadani, the SAA and Hezbollah (Party of God) advanced past Tal Al-Hawa (Windy Hill) on the eastern slopes, towards the city gates after capturing two small hills adjacent to the latter.

Meanwhile, at eastern Al-Zabadani, the SAA and NDF carried out a number of attacks on Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda  group) in the East District near Bloudan, killing 12 enemy combatants, including Wassam Issa Fardoun (Lebanese), Lu’ayy ‘Assi Haddad (Lebanese), and Qusay Da’oud ‘Umran.

The SAA’s 105th Brigade discovered a large tunnel in the city of Jobar on Wednesday, confiscating the large cache of assault rifles, ammunition, RPGs, artillery shells, telecommunication devises, and forged passports.

This is a Civilized Place for Public Discussion

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
