BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:19 A.M.) – Six young Israeli men in the city of Be’er Sheva have been charged with severely assaulting Arab men over their romantic relationships with Jewish women, RT reported.
It was reported by Haaretz that the Israeli men are aged between 17 and 20, and two of them are soldiers, and that six incidents from last December to April 6 occurred in which knives, clubs and metal bars were used to attack the Arab men for pursuing romantic relationships with Jewish women.
The aim of the assaults was to “prevent the ‘assimilation’ of Jews and Arabs in Be’er Sheva,” police said. Extreme right group Lehava also made videos calling for “saving Jewish women who are married to Arabs,” and some of the attackers were influenced by the footage, the statement cited by AFP added.
The lawyers of the Israeli criminals complained that “significant emotional duress” was experienced by their clients after they were handcuffed for hours and subjected to “difficult and long questioning.”
