BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) completely overwhelmed the so-called Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) this evening to take hold of a key town east of the Euphrates River.
Backed by heavy artillery and air strikes from the U.S. Coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to retake several points they lost during the Islamic State’s offensive last week.
According to reports from this front, the Syrian Democratic Forces have taken full control over the key town of Baghouz Fouqani after the Islamic State’s failed to hold their points near the Murashida axis.
The Syrian Democratic Forces are now working to capture the last Islamic State points inside this small pocket east of the Euphrates River.
