With the SDF announcing their intentions of capturing Jarablus in Aleppo province on the Turkish border from ISIS, the creation of the Jarablus Military Council was established.
Turkey have consistently made it clear that if the US-backed Kurdish-led group would cross a “red line” if they were to take the border town.
This comes as Turkey are amassing radical Islamist groups internationally recognized as legitimate Syrian opposition rebels try to take the town from ISIS.
SDF Jarablus Military Council commander, Abdel Sattar al-Jader, has been assassinated.
Preliminary reports have suggested that the Council have arrested two gunmen who allegedly belong to the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and that they will release a video of their testimony soon.
This is still to be confirmed.
Other reports have said Jader was killed in al-Shuyukh village just southeast of Jarablus by sniper fire. This sniper fire could have belonged to Turkish MIT agents or ISIS terrorists.
More details are to come.
