DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:50 P.M.) – A large number of civilians living in jihadist-held east Aleppo managed to escape the militants to reach a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) checkpoint at the eastern sector of the Hanano District, a military officer told Al-Masdar News on Saturday.
“Over 150 civilians reached our first military post in the Hanano District after the latest Tiger Forces advance today,” the officer added.
A large wave of civilians fled the jihadist rebels earlier this morning, once the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces seized more than 75 percent of the Hanano District.
In addition to the civilians fleeing the Hanano District, a large number of residents managed to evade the jihadist rebels in Jabal Badro and reach the Syrian Arab Army’s front-lines.
As the battle for east Aleppo intensifies, several civilians will attempt to escape the jihadist rebels in order to flee the war-zone that they have been trapped in for nearly two months.
