BEIRUT, LEBANON (00:10 A.M.) – 19 opposition fighters were killed according to ISIS when they began an offensive against ISIS in Daraa’s southwestern countryside.
According to the ISIS-affiliated Amaq Agency, the opposition fighters were killed when they attempted to recapture villages of Tall Ashtarah and Jillen, which they had lost in recent times to the terrorist group.
The leading opposition groups in this failed attack were Furqat Fajr al-Islam and Liwaa al-Karama.
The Amaq statements also claimed that two prominent commanders belonging to the two rival militant groups were killed in the attack.
In this part of Syria, Jaish Khaled bin al-Waleed are the ISIS franchise, having sworn allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in May, 2016 and is mostly concentrated in the Golan Heights.
