BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – A Saudi jihadist commander of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was assassinated this week after unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle in rural Idlib.
According to pro-opposition activists, Abu Mohammad ‘Abdallah was traveling through the eastern part of the Ma’arat Al-Nu’man District when the unknown assailants attacked his vehicle.
The HTS commander is a Saudi national that was previously a leader in the Al-Nusra Front.
No group has claimed responsibility for this assassination.
