The meetings between Israeli officials and Saudi royal figures have started to appear in public as both sides expressed their intention to settle the differences and disputes.
The Israeli Channel 2 broadcast a report about a survey that was conducted by the Strategic Israeli Polices Institute showing that 53 % of Saudis consider that Iran is their enemy, not ‘Israel’.
In this context, the veteran Saudi General Anwar Oshqy, who was the counselor of the deceased King Abdullah bin Abdolaziz, met the general director of the Israeli foreign ministry Dore Gold, who is close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington.
Oshqy highlighted, during the meeting, the Saudi desire to reach a settlement with ‘Israel’ in order to cooperate in face of Iran.
In turn, Gold stressed that “Israel’ supports the Saudi positions, revealing that 5 Israeli-Saudi meetings occurred this year.
Israeli analysts considered that the alliances in the Middle East are changing, which may grant ‘Israel’ the strategic chances.
