BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:15 P.M.) – The Saudi-led Coalition launched an offensive in the Ta’iz Governorate of western Yemen this weekend, targeting the Houthi defenses inside the Dhubab District near the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
Despite the intensity of the attack, the Saudi-led forces were unable to infiltrate the Houthi defenses at Dhubab on Sunday, resulting in the loss of several personnel and military hardware.
According to local activists in Yemen, more than 70 Saudi-led Coalition fighters were killed or wounded during this failed offensive, including the 3rd Brigade commander.
Video footage of the Houthi forces foiling the Saudi-led Coalition’s attack was captured by Hezbollah’s official media wing on Sunday:
The Houthi forces have now fully secured the area and expelled all the enemy combatants that were attempting to bypass their defenses in the Dhubab District of the Ta’iz Governorate.
