BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 P.M.) – The Saudi Coalition launched a big offensive this week along the Yemeni border in order to retake several points they lost to the Houthi forces in 2016.
Backed by heavy air support, the Saudi Coalition began their offensive by storming the Houthi defenses inside the Buqa Desert.
Despite air superiority, the Saudi Coalition was unable to overtake the Houthi forces that were present in this vast desert region along the Yemeni border.
According to the official media wing of Houthi forces, their troops managed to restore security to all the points that the Saudi Coalition targeted in the past 48 hours.
They would add that their troops managed to kill a large number of Saudi Coalition fighters during the two-day long battle.
