BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – The Saudi Coalition forces stepped up their assault in western Yemen this week, targeting the strategic port-city of Hodeidah along the Red Sea coast.

Led by the Southern Resistance Army and Yemeni Republican Guard, the Saudi Coalition continued their heavy assault on the Houthis-held Kilo 16 area and Al-Hayal District.

While no significant ground advances were made by the Saudi Coalition forces, they were able to stall the Houthis counter-offensive in the Hays District after forcing them to redeploy their troops to the Kilo 16 front.

Despite upcoming peace talks, both the Houthis and Saudi Coalition continue to trade blows in Hodeidah as they attempt to gain the upper-hand before negotiations.
