BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:20 P.M.) – The Saudi-led Coalition forces scored a major advance in western Yemen on Saturday, seizing several points inside the key Yemeni port-city of Hodeidah.
According to state-owned Al-Arabiya TV, the Saudi-led Coalition and the Yemeni government forces managed to capture the Al-Daher District of Hodeidah after a fierce battle with the Houthis Movement.
Furthermore, the Saudi-led Coalition and Yemeni government forces pushed towards the Al-Hidan Directorate, where they are now engaged in another battle with the Houthis.
The government advance on Saturday was led by the UAE-backed Southern Resistance Army and Yemeni Republican Guard.
Despite reports of both sides agreeing to a ceasefire, the Yemeni government forces and Houthis Movement continue to clash inside of Hodeidah.
