BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – The Saudi-backed forces launched a new offensive in western Yemen this week that targeted the areas controlled by the Houthis Movement in the Ta’iz Governorate.

Backed by heavy airstrikes from the Arab Coalition, the Saudi-backed forces stormed the Hayfan axis in a bid to expel the Houthis from this part of the province.

However, the Saudi-backed forces would ultimately fail to capture the Hayfan area on Tuesday after several hours of battle against the obstinate Houthis troops.

According to the official media wing of the Houthis, their troops managed to kill more than Saudi-backed fighters, while also destroying three enemy vehicles in the Hayfan area.

This latest attack by the Saudi-backed forces comes just days after they launched a new offensive in the nearby Hodeidah Governorate.

Whoever wrote the above article failed to mention the number of Saudi coalition soldiers that were killed. It was mistakenly left out.
