In an interview with the French radio, political analyst Mark Lavergne explained the concealed reasons behind Saudi Arabia forming two international coalitions in 2105.
“The Saudis are well aware that in order to survive politically, they must fulfill their role in the international arena i.e. be actively engaged in the schemes set up by world superpowers”, Lavergne said.
Lavergne heightened the fact that Western powers are now using Saudi Arabia in a ‘proxy war’ in both Yemen and Syria. “This typically happens when those powers fail, for any reason, to interfere directly”, he concluded.
