BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 A.M.) – Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir accused Iran of “terrorist activities” and “hostile behaviour” in his address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday.

“Iran continues its terrorist its terrorist activities and hostile behaviour. The Kingdom expresses its support to the new American strategy in dealing with Iran, including dealing with its nuclear programme, its ballistic missile programme, and its support for terrorism,” Jubeir began.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia believes that achieving peace and stability in the Middle East requires deterring Iran’s expansionist and subversive policies. Iran has created armed terrorist militias and provided them with ballistic missiles. It has assassinated diplomats and attacked diplomatic missions. This, in addition to its stirring of sectarian strife and interference in the internal affairs of the countries in the region,” he continued.

“This aggressive behaviour is a glaring breach of all international laws, treaties, and Security Council resolutions. For this, Iran is under international sanctions,” Jubeir added.

Al-Jubeir reaffirmed his country’s support for the United States’ new strategy towards Iran “including dealing with its nuclear programme, its ballistic missile programme, and its support for terrorism.”

I very rarely agree with what al-Jubeir says. Thus, KSA is not totally clear from having done very very discussable actions, far from it, although it’s also clear that there have been obvious behavioural changes since Salman is king.
I doubt about any hope with the Iranian regime and the Iranian population suffering under the regime’s iron boot for near 4 decades, thus I have no better opinion about the al-Saouds’ regime treatment of the population, especially women.
Both regimes should have perdured into the XXIth century, period…
